Elk initially acquired substantial working interests in mature oil fields in Wyoming, increased oil production via workovers and re-completions, and acquired offsetting high potential exploration and appraisal acreage in both Wyoming and Montana. Elk has 100% working interest in 2 fields and substantial working interests in several exploration/appraisal areas, a major CO₂ EOR re-development plan in place for the Grieve Field, as well as other re-development and development opportunities at the Ash Creek oil field and the Hereford gas discovery respectively.
